So first news update on the new site and I'm just finishing off a nice recovery day on team training camp in Girona, Spain.  Eight riders and support staff travelled out for a 6 day training camp in what is a wicked place to ride a bike!

We're staying around 25km out of Girona in a town called Banyoles with views over looking the Spanish side of the Pyrenees.  Plenty of variety in terrain ranging from flat (apparently, but I've not seen much yet) to full on Pyrenean climbs along with perfect weather. Its easy to see why so many of the top pros are based out here!  We are staying in a family run B&B type place in the countryside mainly for cyclists which is awesome, getting looked after really well!

We've done a solid 3 day block which has been made even harder by the heat which has been unseasonably warm at about 35+ deg!! Been trying hard not to moan too much about it being too hot after the "summer" we've had in the UK but it really is scorching.  On Tuesdays 180km ride we went through 140 bottles between 8 of us which when you do the math works out at 8.75 ltrs each.....That's a LOT of fluid!

Girona Camp

Today we had a nice 60k easy ride into Girona with a couple of cafe stops for good measure and spend the afternoon chilling, catching up on sleep, watching films or cooling off in the you do!

Girona Camp2

Back to the "grind" tomorrow for another 180 kms in the mountains which a lot of you I'm sure will know is really not my kind of day, but in a sick kind of way I'm still looking forward to it!

Will try to upload a couple of photos tomorrow!

Thanks for the read!
